"THE LARGEST APPLE FESTIVAL IN THE CAPITAL DISTRICT"

The 16th annual Capital District Apple Festival & Craft Fair will again be held at the Altamont Fair Grounds. This highlight of the fall season attract 15 - 16,000 attendees from all over eastern New York, Vermont, Connecticut and Massachusetts. The show offers 160 of the finest crafters and artisans from throughout the northeast presenting a wide array of unique handmade crafts.

 There is plenty of FREE parking at the fairgrounds. The hours for the festival are 10 - 6pm Saturday and 10- 5pm on Sunday.

Directions From Albany

  1. Rte 20 West through Guilderland(4 miles)

  2. Turn Left (South) on Rte 146 (take a left by Stewarts

  3. About 5 miles you will see the Altamont Fair sign on left

Directions from Amsterdam

  1. Take Thruway to Exit 25.

  2. Take Curry Rd to Rt. 146

  3. Follow Rt. 146 into Altamont

Directions from Delmar

  1. Kenwood Ave towards Slingerlands

  2. Take Rte 85 towards Thatcher Park

  3. At Stonewell Shopping Center turn right onto 85A

  4. In Voorheesville bear right onto Rte 156

  5. Go onto Rte 156 until you see a small Altamont Fair sign (this will be Gate 5)

Directions from Rotterdam

  1. Take Guilderland Ave to Rte 20 (Guilderland Ave becomes 158)

  2. Take Rte 20 East to Rte 146

  3. Follow Rte 146 South to Altamont Fair sign
     

Directions from Saratoga (North)

  1. Take I-87 (Northway) South to the end which is Rte 20

  2. Take right (going West) on Rte 20 (approx 4.2 miles)

  3. Go south on Rte 146 (left by Stewarts)

  4. After about 5 miles you will see the Altamont Fair sign on the left
     

Directions from Schenectady

  1. Take 890 East to last exit (before Exit 25 of Thruway)

  2. Take Rte 146 South (Carmen Rd) to Rte 20 (this is a left turn)

  3. Go East on Rte 20 for 1/2 mile

  4. Turn Right onto Rte 146 south (5 miles) Altamont Fair sign will be on the left

Proceeds: Partial proceeds from the festival will benefit the WGY Christmas Wish Campaign which provides funding support to more than 100 non-profit children's organizations in 15 counties. Emphasis is given to critical care services and recreational programs for the ill, underprivileged and homeless children.
